Founded in 1956, the Lower Cape Fear Historical Society's mission is to disseminate knowledge of the region's rich historical significance. LCFHS offers tours of the 1852 Zebulon Latimer House Museum, walking tours of Wilmington's historic district, lectures, book talks, and an annual Secret Garden Tour in September and Old Wilmington by Candlelight Tour in December.
