Tacoma is pretty awesome and has many unique experience to offer visitors. It’s a “choose your own adventure” vacation here. You can go crazy in downtown, or focus on a more relaxing trip on the lake. As long as you bring the right attitude and know the best places to stay, you will surely have a good time.
To make your planning easier, I’ve found some of the coolest and best places to stay to enjoy a trip to Tacoma.
Downtown on the Water
Nobody can say who wrote of Tacoma as the place to be, but they made a huge mistake. It’s so cool. It offers a beautifully unique downtown experience right on the water's edge. So, if you’re looking to have a beautiful lake view but still sit in the heart of the downtown, then look no further than Silver Cloud Inn Tacoma Waterfront.
One of, if not the top perk, is that Silver Cloud is literally waterfront with a beautiful pier right outside. On top of that, high-speed internet all over the hotel property, an excellent fitness center, and an insanely good breakfast all come with your stay. The location is top-notch as well. Just walk a few short minutes and you’re downtown with nightlife galore. An excellent option for your stay.

The Artist’s Choice
When it’s time to be artistic, classy, and appreciative all at once, there’s only one place that comes to mind in Tacoma, and that is Hotel Murano.
Hotel Murano is insanely pretty. They take a ton of pride in the visual portion of their building, so it’s kept extremely clean and inviting. They have unique art all throughout the hotel to highlight some of, if not the best art in the world.
Not only are they an incredibly appealing hotel, but they’re located right downtown. There is something for everyone to do just a short walk down the street. Plus pets are welcome, so bring your fur baby and have a one of a kind experience.

Lodging Fit for a King
Here’s the thing, you can stay at a hotel anywhere you go, but only in Tacoma are you able to stay at Thornewood Castle and feel like real royalty.
Utilized as an event venue primarily, Thornewood will promise a night unlike any you’ve ever had before. Offering over 500 years of history in this Tudor style Gothic manor, you will feel like you traveled back to hang with the folks of Bridgerton fame.
Keep in mind, no pets, no smoking, and a hard limit of 2 guests per room. Keep the parties to the correct location and have a great time unlike any you’ve ever had before.

It’s Temple Time!
To cap off the list, which isn’t in any particular order, is another special boutique hotel: Elkes Temple.
A seven floor hotel in Tacoma that is specifically designed to highlight the wonderful food and drinks, art, and history that Tacoma offers. Elkes Temple is sure to have something to keep you entertained and happy. Whether you would prefer to get together with friends at the bar that’s called the Old Hangout, or head over to the Spanish Ballroom for a fun evening of music and dancing, Elkes has it all.
You don’t have to leave the premises to be guaranteed a fun stay, but if you do decide to step off property, you’re in the middle of downtown Tacoma. The location alone makes Elkes Temple a top choice.
The real challenge is to make sure you’re making the most of the seven floors Elkes Temple has.
