The adjacent towns of Rehoboth and Lewes Beach, Delaware, offer charm in spades, along with plenty for visiting travelers to enjoy and explore. Beaches, boardwalks and history are some of the top attractions here, drawing both Delaware natives and newcomers to the shores. However, as you shop the independent boutiques and visit the historic sites, you’re bound to get hungry at some point. When you are, you should check out one of these six favorite restaurants, cafes and other eateries.
1. Notting Hill Coffee Roastery
What better way to start a beach day than with a piping hot cup of coffee from a local roaster? In Lewes Beach, Notting Hill Coffee offers a range of caffeinated beverages, alongside pastries, breakfast specials and light lunch options. In a rush? Indulge in one of the roastery’s grab-and-go items, like a spinach-feta croissant or cheddar, egg and ham croissant.

2. Egg
Your breakfast options hardly end there, though. In Rehoboth, Egg offers classic and unique breakfast treats, alongside a little bubbly and some brunch and lunch options. The cozy cafe space is serving up menu items like sriracha bacon candy, frittatas and pumpkin pie praline french toast. If you’d rather take your eats back to your home rental or hotel, Egg also offers “heat at home” options like a dozen buttermilk biscuits and sage sausage gravy.

3. Fisher’s Popcorn
For a mid-day snack that travels well, look to Fisher’s Popcorn, making its famous caramel popcorn by hand for more than 70 years. You’ll find Fisher’s in Rehoboth, as well as in nearby Ocean City, Maryland.

4. Starboard Raw
What’s a beach vacation without a little seafood? Get your fix of raw flavors at Starboard Raw, in nearby Dewey Beach. Alongside a bevy of craft beers, you can expect a full menu of steamed seafood-inspired favs, like peel and eat shrimp, raw or steamed oysters, seafood boils, seafood towers and more.

5. Twist Juice Bar & Cafe
Craving something healthy? Twist Juice Bar & Cafe specializes in all things vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free, and the cafe is located just one block from the Rehoboth boardwalk, making it an easy option for lunch when you don't want to stray too far from the beach. Expect a menu filled with natural, locally-sourced ingredients. Try cold-pressed juices, cold-pressed wellness shots and smoothies, alongside signature and build-your-own grain and acai bowls, like the Sweet Street bowl that includes quinoa, roasted chicken, sweet potatoes, black beans, feta and avocado all drizzled with a balsamic vinaigrette.

Also in Rehoboth, Jam Bistro offers fresh, organic and seasonal dining in an upscale-casual atmosphere. Rated one of the best spots in the state for cocktails, you’ll want to check out the drinks menu, for favorites such as the forbidden fruit martini, made with pineapple, mixed berries and citrus-infused vodka, or the red hot pepper margarita. For dinner, choose from options like the Caribbean-seasoned mahi mahi or the orecchiette pasta served with farm-fresh veggies.
