The historic Rochester Opera House is a 750 seat live theater in the heart of Rochester, NH. Built within city hall in 1908, this beautifully restored theater is the only theater in the world with a unique mechanism that raises the orchestra floor at an incline for amphitheater seating and levels the floor for dancing. It has hosted artists like Lee Ann Rimes, Blues Traveler, Crystal Gayle, Gilbert Godfried and Jimmy “JJ” Walker as well as being a popular presidential primary stop for President’s Clinton and Obama and Senator’s Bernie Sanders, Mitt Romney and John McCain. This not-for-profit organization presents an annual performance season of shows for children, teens, adults and seniors. Their mission is to educate, engage, empower, challenge and inspire a community of all ages by presenting extraordinary and culturally diverse theater, performance art, music, dance and film on the city’s foremost performing arts stage. Some of 2023’s line-up includes:  The Corvette’s Doo Wop Revue, comedian Lenny Clarke & Friends, Lee Rocker & The Stray Cats, Tusk-The Ultimate Fleetwood Mac Tribute, The Sponge Bob Musical, Memories of Patsy-A tribute to Patsy Cline and The Last of the Duke Street Kings-A tribute to Bruce Springsteen, to name just a few. Tickets are available on the ROH website on-line box office as well as the on-site box office on Wednesday’s noon-4p and two hours before any performance. The Rochester Opera House truly offers “Arts For All” in a vibrant, beautiful venue steeped in rich history and will surely be a memorable experience!
