Carlson Turner Books is a traditional Antiquarian and used book store located in Portland, Maine. Our brick & mortar shop is housed in a three story Victorian era (1888) building in the trendy East End area of Portland.

The shop houses more than 40,000 antiquarian, scholarly, and used books, including a large inventory of general used books in various categories, including: Scholarly books in various fields, Nautical, Travel, Civil War, History, Railroad, Maine related, as well as many others.  We also deal in rare manuscripts, maps, photographs and fine art prints.

Directly across the street is the oldest cemetery in Portland, dating back to the 17th century and we have the key! So if you're in the area please do stop by.

We are also a full service Hand BOOKBINDERY offering repairs, conservation, box making, etc.
