Long Island’s wine country, North Fork, New York, is a charming slice of The Empire State, easily accessible from Manhattan. Filled with quaint farms, local restaurants serving local cuisine, more than 60 vineyards and other beverage producers, it’s just the place for a quick girls trip or couples getaway. When it comes to booking your North Fork accommodations, you’ll find you have plenteous options — so which is right for you?
1. The Blue Inn
Situated in East Marion, in the heart of the North Fork region, The Blue Inn is a small, historic property with fewer than 20 guest rooms. Built in the late 19th century, the property has long welcomed guests who want to explore the many nearby North Shore attractions, such as the Southold beaches, golf courses and, obviously, the wineries and vineyards. The Blue Inn is also one of the very few pet-friendly hotels in the area.

2. Cedar House on Sound B&B
This luxurious property sits on a vineyard and offers an array of thoughtful amenities. The concierge service will help you plan your perfect trip. The included daily breakfasts are made with farm-fresh local ingredients. Guests also enjoy access to a range of common areas, where they’ll find billiards, coffee and tea stations, games and more.

3. A Walk in the Woods B&B
If, though, you’d rather stay at a bed and breakfast surrounded by the area woodlands than situated on a sunny vineyard, look to A Walk in the Woods B&B — where you can quite literally take a walk in the woods, thanks to the property’s private 11 acres and connected 21 acres of public forest lands. A quick stroll through the forests will take you to Cedar Beach, where you’ll enjoy views of The Hamptons and Shelter Island.

4. Blue Iris Bed & Breakfast
This elegant bed and breakfast sits a bit away from the downtown action, but still within easy reach of vineyards and Peconic Bay beaches. The award-winning property offers only a few, exclusive guest rooms and some lovely grounds, with gardens, a patio and a game lawn, all for guests to enjoy.
