St. Mary's is home of Rhode Island's First Roman Catholic Parish, Established April 8, 1828. St. Mary's Church was named to the National Register of Historic Places, March 6, 2008. The site of the wedding of John F. Kennedy and Jaqueline Bouvier in September 1953.
