The Fort at No. 4, as an open-air museum and historic landmark, recreates the18th century fortified village of Township Number 4 (now Charlestown, NH).  The museum uses living history activities, encampments and reenactments, presentations, experimental archaeology, classes, immersive theater and festivals, to engage visitors in the multi-cultural, multi-layer, and complex life in the Upper Valley of the Connecticut River. Open May through October with special low season activities November through April.
