So, what are some things to do off the beaten path in Oyster Bay, NY?
20th Century Cycles at 101 Audrey Ave is a collection of motorcycles owned by Billy Joel. They are open on weekends and admission is free.
Next to 20th Century Cycles is Bahr Gallery. This gallery features posters from rock concerts of the 1960's. Check their website for days and times they are open.
The final suggestion for a visit to Oyster Bay is the Raynham Hall Museum at 30 West Main Street. The museum features local history related to the Culper Spy Ring with helped provide information about the British troop movements during the Revolutionary War. The front half of the house is decorated in the style of the 1770's and the back half is in the Victorian style.."
Where would someone find the best breakfast/brunch?
Tabby's at 28 Audrey Ave has breakfast 7 days a week. One of our favorite places for lunch is Sweet Tomato at 91 Audrey Ave. They are well known for their soups, salads, and wraps. Another suggestion for breakfast and lunch is Home Sweet Home Cafe at 19 Summit Street. Not only do they have standard deli food (soups, sandwiches, etc.), they specialize in foods from Chile.
What would you recommend for places to hear music?
Some of the bars may have bands playing on the weekends. During the summer and fall, local bands perform at several events. Cruise Nights are a weekly vintage car show held every Tuesday night from Memorial Day through Labor Day starting at 5:45 PM (weather permitting). Each week a different band performs. On Fridays in the Summer is Dancing In the Street with a DJ who plays a variety of music for dancing from ballroom, swing, line dancing, and freestyle.
Are there any historic sites can I see?
