5 of our Favorite Places to Stay in Huntington

Huntington, New York, calls to those seeking a destination within easy reach of Manhattan, but also those who would prefer to stay away from the hubbub of the Big Apple and somewhere a little more low-key. On Long Island, Huntington offers outdoor adventure, historic attractions and plenty of dining and shopping. But, of course, as you enjoy it all, you’ll need a place to stay. Here are five great spots to consider booking for your next trip.

1. Oheka Castle

One look at Oheka Castle and you’ll ask yourself if you’re still on Long Island, or if you’ve somehow been transported to a grand European estate. The historic property, built in 1919, has acted as a playground for the world’s rich and famous, as well as a backdrop for popular movies and television shows. Today, it also acts as a hotel for those lucky enough to snag a room.

Right near the border of Huntington, in Centerport, Chalet Inn & Suites is another budget-friendly option with extra amenities that include free stays for kids under 12, free WiFi and free daily breakfast. If you’re looking for something that’s a bit more suitable for a longer stay, consider one of the suites, with their full-sized kitchens, dining rooms and living rooms. 4. The Harbor Rose Bed & Breakfast

An accommodations option that’s just a short drive from the center of Huntington, The Harbor Rose Bed & Breakfast provides an elegant bed and breakfast vibe and a cozy, intimate setting. The historic home was built in the late 19th century and acted as a rectory before being converted into a bed and breakfast. The beautiful guest rooms feature water views and working fireplaces.
