History

A group of enthusiastic residents simply came together to discuss an idea that has become one of the most admired attractions in Hickory Nut Gorge – the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge.

The Bridge and Gardens are always open, and there is never an admission charge. However, the Bridge is sustained by donations. There are three boxes situated at the Bridge. We appreciate your gifts that keep our flowers growing.

Did you know you can schedule a private tour with us? We’d love to show your garden or photography club, church or retirement community or other groups of any size, the beauty of the Lake Lure Flowering Bridge. Tours are hosted by one or more of our volunteers and are always free. Contact us to schedule a tour, or for more information.
