Looking to return to his entrepreneurial roots after nearly 20 years working in and around big corporations, Steve found inspiration in Discovery Map of Crystal Coast (NC) while on a family trip. Three years later, he has published two editions of Discovery Map of Gatlinburg with plans to bring the “cartoon map” to Chattanooga in the spring of 2020.
Discovery Map International is the country’s leading provider of curated guides to top tourist destinations, cities and towns throughout North America. The distinctively colorful, hand-drawn maps are a favorite of travelers for navigating local dining, attractions, businesses, cultural experiences, ski destinations – and even the best locations to take selfies. Discovery Maps can be found in local hotels, restaurants, shops, visitor information centers and other participating venues, and at discoverymap.com. Discovery Map International is headquartered in Waitsfield, VT, in the heart of the Green Mountains.
Prior to joining the Discovery Map family, Steve was a senior executive for a global loyalty management company with clients including major retailers and consumer packaged good companies. He also worked domestically and internationally as a brand manager for General Mills. Steve grew up in Massachusetts and is a huge Patriots, Red Sox and Celtics fan. He asks that you not hold that against him.
