The mountain and lake town offers a bevy of fun activities no matter the season, and you’ll find a mixture of both indoor attractions and outdoor adventures. Whether you want to hike or mountain bike, ski or snowshoe, check out the historical attractions or get in a game of golf — you can do it all.
But after all that fun, you’re bound to get hungry. So where can you go to grab a quick bite to eat? Here are five locally-approved eateries in Estes Park.
1. Ziggi’s Coffee
Start your day with a piping hot cup of coffee at Ziggi’s Coffee. This fun cafe offers far more than just coffee, though. Beyond signature favorites like mochas, macchiatos and iced coffees, the shop also offers Italian sodas, fruit smoothies and Red Bull infusions. The microbrewery offers fresh, handcrafted beers alongside all your favorite pub eats, such as burgers, sandwiches, pizza and nachos. Catch your favorite game on one of the dozen televisions scattered throughout the space and feel free to bring the kids along; this brewery is family-friendly, with games for the kids and a kids menu.

3. The Slab Outdoor Pub
Enjoy your brews in Estes Park’s beautiful great outdoors, at The Slab’s outdoor pub and beer garden. The pub offers more than 90 craft beers, plus wine and other alcoholic beverages, and pub-goers can easily order delivery from a handful of surrounding restaurants, to enjoy an array of food options without ever getting out of their chairs. Live music and games are just the icing on the cake.

If you’re looking for a more upscale environment, make a reservation at Nicky’s Steakhouse. In addition to steak, prime rib and seafood, the restaurant also offers a selection of regional and international cuisines, so there’s something for everyone on the menu.

If it’s your sweet tooth that needs satisfying, the Donut Haus can help. The longstanding doughnut shop offers a variety of buttermilk, yeast and filled doughnuts in fun flavors, but beyond the doughnuts, also sells buns and rolls, fritters and other sweet concoctions. Make sure to arrive early, to get the freshest doughnuts and your pick of the day’s options before the sell out!
