The idea for Mad Lavender Farm began in 2012 when we discovered the wonderful properties and amazing resilience of lavender. As fortune would have it, we had inherited 10 lovely acres on land that was high, dry, surrounded by gorgeous pine trees and fully exposed to southern light. Which turns out to be a perfect place for lavender to grow. We planted four different varieties of lavender in our first year; French Fields and Buena Vista for their culinary flavor, Hidcote and Gross Bleu for their intoxicating scent and medicinal properties. We also have raspberries to pick, local honey and exotic chickens. Everything is grown organically with absolutely no pesticides or chemical fertilizers.  We also offer goat yoga, workshops, private events and parties.
