The shopping mall is not only the largest mall in all of New Brunswick, but also the largest mall on this entire side of Canada. Expect recognizable anchor stores like Bass Pro Shops, H&M, Toys-R-Us and Walmart, alongside smaller stores from well-known brands like Eddie Bauer and L.L. Bean. You’ll also find a smattering of restaurants here, including fast food options.

2. For the oldest ontinually operating farmers market in Canada, check out Saint John’s City Market.

Stop by to check out the local wares and produce and pick up a drink or snack to sustain you through the rest of your explorations. Dating back to the 1800s, the market brings together an array of vendors and merchants selling everything from coffee to artwork, gifts and souvenirs to ready-to-eat food. 3. the Marche Moncton Market is another can’t-miss farmers market shopping experience.

There are more than 100 vendors in an indoor setting that’s open year-round, every Saturday. Pick up a new work of art, some fresh produce, baked goods, locally made teas, a cup of coffee, jewelry — the locally produced options are wide and varied enough to offer something for everyone.

4. If you’re always a fan of digging through flea market wares in hopes of finding your next great treasure, you won’t want to miss the annual Sussex Flea Market.

Held once per year in August, in Sussex, New Brunswick, the weekend event attracts nearly a thousand vendors.

5. If you can’t make it to the Sussex Flea Market in August, you might be able to catch the July Shediac International Flea Market.

A similarly favorited event in New Brunswick, the flea market has been ongoing for more than two decades.

6. Market Square in Saint John, offers an array of shops alongside restaurants, a boardwalk, spa, atrium and even a library.
